Celebracion de Halloween y Dia de Muertos en la escuela de Cecilia.

Cecilia decided to get dressed as a cheerleader (and not as a princess like every other girl in her class, except for one). Thanks to Granma for providing the costume. :)
Off to the school, where the teachers explain the meaning of the Dia de Muertos and the Mexican tradition of building altars for the dead.
They asked everybody who they were dressed as, and of course, Cecilia didn't open her mouth.

Here is the 'Altar de Muertos' of the school. Pretty cool, eh?

El primer dia de Lila en el exersaucer

Yo creo que Cecilia se divierte mas que Lila. Pero bueno...

Days 1136 & 121, 16 October, 2009

In Cecilia's school, everyday there is a little bit of a competition. The kid who earns the most stars gets to take home Tugui, the class' mascot. Today, Cecilia was such a good girl in school that she got to take Tugui home for the whole weekend.

Days 1133 & 118, 13 October, 2009

Today, in my school, we celebrated Columbus' Day. To celebrate, we put on a play to tell our parents the story of how Cristobal Colon or Christopher Columbus (whatever you want to call him) 'discovered' America.

Here I am with the Spanish Queen and King, los Reyes Catolicos and with Cristobal Colon. As you can tell, I am a sailor. Creo que yo soy Rodrigo de Triana, el que vio tierra primero.

Here there is a picture during the show.

Finally, expecting the applause from the audience.

Ok, now back to class. :(

Sick.

I'm sick. This is what I look like when I'm sick. That's my bucket.

Daddy stayed home from work because I was sick. Mommy made me a tortilla de patatas that tasted good and I didn't throw up.

This is my new baby that I got for my birthday and my sister. My tummy feels ucky.

Still fits.

Days 1095-97 & 80-82, 5, 6 & 7 September, 2009

This Monday, while all you communists were celebrating the American Labor Movement, I turned three years old. Mommy and Daddy had asked me what I wanted for my birthday and I told them quite plainly that I wanted pink cake and candles. Instead, they planned a weekend trip to the beach. We got in the car Saturday morning and drove about three hours to the Michoacan coast to a beach called Las Brisas.

The hotel had two pools, and the beach was very, very close and nearly deserted. They had fresh seafood and the nice lady there would bring you chocolate milk or a Fresca or anything else you wanted to drink. I spent about 7 hours in the pool everyday with my water wings.

After we got home on Monday Daddy went out and bought a cake with candles, so my birthday turned out OK in the end.
