Celebracion de Halloween y Dia de Muertos en la escuela de Cecilia.
Cecilia decided to get dressed as a cheerleader (and not as a princess like every other girl in her class, except for one). Thanks to Granma for providing the costume. :)
Off to the school, where the teachers explain the meaning of the Dia de Muertos and the Mexican tradition of building altars for the dead.
They asked everybody who they were dressed as, and of course, Cecilia didn't open her mouth.

Today, in my school, we celebrated Columbus' Day. To celebrate, we put on a play to tell our parents the story of how Cristobal Colon or Christopher Columbus (whatever you want to call him) 'discovered' America.

This Monday, while all you communists were celebrating the American Labor Movement, I turned three years old. Mommy and Daddy had asked me what I wanted for my birthday and I told them quite plainly that I wanted pink cake and candles. Instead, they planned a weekend trip to the beach. We got in the car Saturday morning and drove about three hours to the Michoacan coast to a beach called Las Brisas.
